Perry Woods

Spend the day on an Adventure Down and take a trip to Perry Woods. Whatever the time of year, you’ll be captivated by the beauty of this remote rural haven where the rolling countryside is dotted with sleepy villages, historic churches and hop gardens. 

It is a perfect spot for exploring with your dog. There is also a great cycle trail if you have bought your bikes with you.

Chilton Farmyard B&B

Chilton Farmyard B&B offers an unusual farm stay in the Kent Downs AONB – this small family-run working farm is home to native and rare cattle breeds.

You will enjoy a delicious locally-sourced, high welfare breakfast cooked to perfection! With a multitude of footpaths and bridleways the farm is also the ideal location for a dog-friendly break in the countryside.

Spoon Carving/Green Woodworking

Satisfy your creative streak by learning to carve a spoon from green wood using axe and knives in a beautiful woodland setting in the Kent Downs AONB.

You will be guided through the process, from selecting a log through to your completed spoon. The experience is suitable for complete novices, or those who’ve had a go at carving before but want to improve. A delicious lunch and woodland tour is included.

Great Stour Way

Effectively the gateway to the Kent Downs AONB, the Great Stour Way is a compact and accessible threemile route which provides a beautiful and tranquil journey along the banks of the River Stour. Walk, or cycle if you have brought the bikes with you.
