Park Wood is ancient woodland, it forms the northern part of King’s Wood that is situated to the south of the A252. The Woodland Trust owns most of the wood however 6 acres along the eastern side is in private ownership. There is no car park, however the lay-by next the entrance will accommodate one parked car. The woodland has several unmarked paths running through it that visitors will enjoy rambling along. The wood is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest and is full of interesting woodland plants and wildlife.

Easy access information

This park and open space contains uneven trails, un-surfaced or narrow pathways. Also, there are width restricting features, such as stiles and narrow gaps making it difficult for visitors with pushchairs and/or wheelchairs to access some parts of the site.
