A 3 Day Family Adventure of Connection, Creativity and Country Parks

Calling all families! Let mother nature play host and spend quality time in the great outdoors with your children. Whether you’re on a on a mini adventure, or wanting to extend the fun, let your little ones roam free with our family focused itineraries.

Day 1 AMArts & Crafts

Mosaic Mum

Have a Draw Down day with Mosaic Mum and learn the ancient art of mosaic. You will explore nature and make your very own piece all at the same time. 

You’ll be usingup-cycled materials, including vintage ceramics, and repurpose discarded materials as part of this sustainable and environmentally friendly workshop in the beautiful Kent Downs AONB.

Day 1 PMFamily Fun

Trosley Country Park

Take a family trip to the beautiful Trosley Country Park. There’s a host of activities including several fabulous adventure playgrounds as well as a variety of easy to navigate walking trails, including an easy access trail for buggies with a great trim trail along the route to entertain the kids! Not to mention the host of activities for the kids in the school holidays.

For older children why not stretch their legs with a 6 ½ mile pleasant walk along the southern edge of the North Downs taking in spectacular views across the North Downs and visiting the nearby village of Harvel.

Elmstead Court Farm

Elmsted Court Farm is a working sheep and arable farm, where you can meet the animals and relax in the spacious family room.  It is the perfect escape to the Kent Downs AONB. 

The accommodation itself is in a relaxing late 14th-century farmhouse within peaceful surroundings, yet is also well placed for all the attractions and activities in the area.

Day 2 AMArts & Crafts

Outdoor Studios

Get artistic in the forest with Outdoor Studios. You will draw inspiration from nature and learn about the area during a guided walk. You will also sustainably forage for items to make natural inks, learn cyanotype printing using leaves and flowers, and create your very own piece of art.  

There will also be a delicious locally sourced picnic to help keep your creative juices flowing.

Day 2 PMFamily Fun

Badgers Hill Farm

Get the kids to Badgers Hill Farm where they can meet donkeys, wallabies and peacocks, amongst other animals. The grown-ups can browse the 2-acre garden centre and find something nice for the house!

The Plough Inn

The Plough Inn has everything you need for either a romantic break, or a relaxing family weekend getaway.  The suites are great for families, with various bed options and ‘Z beds’ and travel cots available on request.

This Art of Mine

Experience the joy of working with clay — all in the calm and inspiring surroundings of the Kent AONB at Art of Mine, a pottery studio on a peony farm! You’ll create your own decorated clay platter to take home, before tucking into some wonderful food at a renowned local pub.

Badgells Wood Camping

Badgells Wood Camping aims to inspire a love of the woods. You’ll enjoy an experience as close to wild camping as possible and get the chance to immerse yourself in beautiful ancient woodland.
