Be one of the first to join a new exploration birdwatching off Samphire Hoe, the spectacular nature reserve at the foot of the imposing White Cliffs.
Starting your day with tea and biscuits in the cosy, fire-heated shelter, you’ll meet one of our friendly local rangers. Sharing their expert knowledge, they’ll guide you through what to look out for before handing you your binoculars and walking out to Samphire Hoe, where you might be in with a chance to see rare black redstarts and the fastest creature in the world — peregrine falcons.
You’ll help leave a real legacy too, as the birds you spot will be added to national databases to help protect entire species of birds for future generations. After an incredible morning of bird sightings in every hidden corner of the reserve, we’ll take you back to the shelter where you can tuck into some local homemade soup as the ranger answers any questions and shares even more local expertise with you.
We’ll leave you with a signed copy of ‘Shakespeare Cliff: A People’s History’ — so you can discover even more stories from the people who made Kent their home.
