Sevenoaks to Shoreham – a Nature, Herb, Folklore & Wellness Walk with Black Girls Hike.

  • 18 May 2025
  • 10.00am to 15.30pm
  • Sevenoaks

The Putting Down Routes team and project partner Black Girls Hike are delighted to offer a scenic walk in Kent.

The highlights of this walk include two nature reserves; Sevenoaks and Polhill Bank, in which we’ll explore some of the medicinal plants growing there and learn about their traditional and modern uses, folklore stories, and taking some time to pause and do a sensory tea tasting exercise – PLEASE BRING A CUP OR MUG.

This linear walk starts at Sevenoaks train station. We’ll be walking along some sections of the Darent Valley Path and the North Downs Way, taking in spectacular views of the Darent Valley and the Kent Downs. We’ll then make our way through Shoreham Woods heading towards Shoreham train station where our walk will end.
