Try Conservation Volunteering at Ranscombe Farm – Drop in session
Come and meet the practical volunteer group in action at Ranscombe, and find out about the essential conservation activities that they undertake throughout the year.

Come and meet the practical volunteer group in action at Ranscombe, and find out about the essential conservation activities that they undertake throughout the year. Ideal for anyone interested in getting involved and wanting to know more. Have a go at woodland habitat management and at making simple coppice products like fencing stakes and rails.
Please come dressed for the weather and the terrain, for example:
- Appropriate outdoor clothing
- Walking boots or sturdy shoes
- Waterproofs if needed
- Hat / sun cream in warmer weather
- Extra water
There’s no need to book tickets, you can drop in between 10am and 2pm on the day and give it a go! You’re welcome to come for the whole session or just part of it. If you really enjoy the session and would like to become a volunteer, simply talk to one of the team on the day or email volunteering@plantlife.org.uk
