A free 5 mile guided bird spotting walk from Dover Prior Train Station across the White Cliffs to St Margaret's Bay.

Join the White Cliffs Community Railway Partnership on an exciting, one way walk from Dover Priory Station to the summit of the White Cliffs of Dover, along the national trail to South Foreland Valley, St. Margaret’s Bay stopping and looking at birds as you go.

On the way hear about the wildlife especially birds, migration and the importance of wild habitats like chalk grassland.

Once at South Foreland hear about the plants and wildlife that live in this wonderful site.

The walk will include some steps, steep slopes and possible muddy paths so please bring suitable outdoor footwear and outdoor clothing suitable for the weather forecast.

Please bring snacks, drinks maybe a packed lunch. There are food venues at St. Margaret’s if you wish to buy lunch.

IMPORTANT: This is a one way walk please bring money to pay for your taxi or bus back to Dover from St. Margaret’s-at-Cliffe.

Start:  Dover Priory Train Station, Station Approach, Dover CT17 9SB

Distance: approximately 5.3 miles (8.5km)

Duration: 5 hours including lunch time
