Start your walk in the picturesque village of Otford. If you have time to explore before you set off you will find a Grade 2 listed duck pond and plenty of places to buy lunch for a picnic stop on your epic walk.

Setting off on your ramble you will soon climb high up onto Otford Mount, which at 211 metres is one of the highest hills on the North Downs Way. Continue walking for a short distance and you will enter Kemsing Down Nature Reserve. This 40 acre reserve is perched up high on chalk grassland with an array of flora to be spotted during the spring and summer. Butterflies also thrive in this habitat.

Your walk takes you close to the village of Wrotham (pronounced Root-ham) which was once home to the Romans! There is a pinot noir grape variety in Wrotham churchyard which is claimed to be descended from vines brought by the Romans.

Pass through Trosley Country Park which is a 170 acre site resting on top of the North Downs. There are numerous trails stretching out from the North Downs Way that invite you on a small detour. Known for its display of bluebells in the spring Trosley also holds different events throughout the year close to its cafe which is open year round.
