Heart of Kent Walking Festival: Guided Rail Ramble Charing to Harrietsham

This walk, in conjunction with the Kent Community Rail Partnership, starts at Charing Railway Station and finishes 8 miles later in Harrietsham. From there you can jump back on the train to Charing. From the picturesque village of Charing, the walk will take you along the North Downs National Trail up onto the Kent Downs, then follows the gentle rolling route towards Harrietsham. There are many points of interest along the way - the ecology of the Kent Downs, the farmed landscape, the historic and current pilgrimages, historic buildings, and the varied fauna and flora of the Downs.
