This evening talk from the Edenbridge and District Astronomers will focus on the story of Saturn, and will discuss why we might want to send a satellite back there. If the weather permits, there will be a telescope set up for observing.

This year the rings of Saturn are much narrower than we normally see them, and next year, for just a few weeks, they will be edge on. This only happens twice in Saturn’s 29-year orbit.

Important Information  

  • In case of suitable observing weather, please bring warm clothing and wear sturdy boots for going outside.
  • This evening is aimed at an adult audience, but would be suitable for very interested older children. Please call us to discuss before booking. Children must be accompanied at all times.
