After a morning being a rebel farmer, why not go for an Adventure Down in the charming village of Wye. This is a perfect spot from which to explore the local countryside. There are three cycle routes to choose from, depending on your mood and whether you want a leisurely ride, or an adrenaline–filled adventure.

Settle down those weary heads at Fig Cottage, a luxury holiday cottage situated on the Brabourne Vineyard. It is the ideal rural retreat for both couples and small families. Finished to a luxury standard, it allows guests to enjoy the tranquillity of the vineyard and the Kent Downs AONB.

Learn something new with an Adventure Down and spend the day in the spectacular Samphire Hoe. You will help to leave a real legacy for the Kent Downs AONB by becoming a ranger for the day.
The rangers at Samphire Hoe will tell you the fascinating history of the nature reserve – while you get the chance to meet the local livestock, protect beaches and discover the flora and fauna of the Kent Downs AONB.

Little Farthingloe Farm (£) is located just outside of Dover and offers a restaurant, as well as a cafe serving snacks to eat-in or takeaway. There’s also a farm shop with bakery and butchers. Whilst there, explore the trail through the ancient woodland and natural play area for children. Don’t forget to say hello to Fred the donkey and the two Shetland ponies, Dudley and Oscar, before you leave!

Give those legs a rest and stay at the Romney Marsh Shepherds Huts. Bespoke built by local craftsman using original plans from the 1900s, these are no ordinary huts! They are fitted out for your ultimate convenience and comfort with the likes of Romney Marsh Wools lanolin toiletries and Romney snuggles, made from sheep fleeces, to keep you warm, helping you unwind further after a long day. (Unfortunately, no dogs are allowed as it is a working farm).
