Crabbles Bottom Apple Competition
Celebrate autumn at Crabbles Bottom Orchard and take part in the Crabbles Bottom Apple Competition. Everyone is welcome to enter, with separate Junior and Adult competitions.

Visit the recently restored Crabbles Bottom Orchard and get creative with your apples! Simply take a photograph of your entry and email it to clerk@shorneparishcouncil.gov.uk before 31 October 2026.
The Junior competition is open to children under 12, while the Adult competition is open to anyone over 12.
There is no registration process and no entry fee. The competition will be judged by photograph, not taste, so please make sure your entry follows any relevant dietary restrictions as entries may be enjoyed by friends and family.
Prizes
The winning Junior and Adult photographs will feature in the 2027 Annual Parish Report, which is delivered to every household in Shorne.
The winners will be announced on Facebook and on the noticeboard outside the Village Hall in November.
Extra Details
If there are sheep in the Orchard, please keep dogs on leads.
