The Kent Downs AONB Management Plan 2021-2026
As a statutory plan required by the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000, the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) Management Plan 2021-2026 sets out the shared vision of the future of this special landscape. The plan identifies the key issues, opportunities and threats facing the landscape and sets out aims and principles for the positive conservation and enhancement of the Kent Downs for a five-year period.
The goal of the Management Plan is to ensure that the natural beauty and special character of the landscape and vitality of the communities are recognised, valued, enhanced and strengthened well into the future.
The Kent Downs National Landscape partnership has worked closely with many individuals and organisation to prepare and produce this revision of the Management Plan for this special place. We are grateful to the many people who have been involved in developing this Plan. The Management Plan provides the strategic framework energy, direction and commitment for the future of the landscape and we encourage you to work with us to deliver its ambitions.
