Celebrate the magic, history, and creativity of Jullieberries Grave and the Chilham area with a summer packed full of music, talks, films, workshops, exhibitions, and community discussions!
Event Schedule
Saturday 21 June — Midsummer Longest Day
2pm – 8.30pm
Annual showcase at The Garden Stage, The White Horse Chilham featuring live music by Onement, Hell Drivers, Bosson and Higgs, and The House of Blue Lights. Includes the launch of the Jullieberries Grave album and a BBQ.
Sunday 6 July — Midsummer Dreams, Tales and Enchantment
6.30 pm | The White Horse
An illustrated talk exploring Jullieberries Grave’s journey from prehistory to Chaucer, Shakespeare, and beyond, followed by group discussion and a project update.
Sunday 13 July — Film Screenings at The Garden
8.30 pm onwards
Premiere of the 1944 film A Canterbury Tale, filmed locally in Chilham and Jullieberries Grave, plus the documentary Landscape and Vision – A Canterbury Tale (2014). Includes Q&A and discussion.
Sunday 27 July & Sunday 3 August — Creative Workshops at Jullieberries Grave
Meet at The White Horse, 2.30 pm
Two afternoons of creative workshops offering drawing, writing, music, and more. Open to all skill levels. Materials provided, but feel free to bring your own creative tools.
Sunday 10 August — Julabar’s Cabinet: Pop-up Exhibition
5.30 pm (Bring and Loan contributions), Exhibition 6.30 pm – 8.30 pm
Community exhibition of Jullieberries Grave-related art, artefacts, and curiosities at Tudor Peacock and The White Horse.
Sunday 17 August — Towards the Shorter Sun

Discussion about local landscapes including Jullieberries Grave, The Shrubs Wood, and Jackets Field Barrows, sharing ideas for upcoming Autumn/Winter celebrations.
Sunday 21 September — Into The Shorter Sun: Autumn Equinox Event

Celebrate the Autumn Equinox and the start of Autumn/Winter festivities with the community.
