Supporting investment, improvements and accessibility across the Kent Downs National Landscape.
Protected Landscapes Capital and Access for All funding supports projects that enhance the landscape, improve conservation outcomes and help make the Kent Downs a place for everyone.

What Capital funding supports
Capital funding supports projects that create, improve or enhance long-term assets across the Kent Downs National Landscape.
Projects may include:
- Habitat creation and restoration, including wetlands, woodlands and species-rich grasslands
- Conservation infrastructure and nature recovery projects
- Improvements to existing assets that support sustainability and reduce carbon emissions
- Innovative projects that support the purposes of the Protected Landscape
Projects must demonstrate clear benefits, value for money and a lasting contribution to the landscape.

What Access for All funding supports
Access for All funding helps improve physical and digital infrastructure, making the Kent Downs more accessible for people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.
Projects may include:
- Improving paths, routes and access infrastructure
- Accessible gates, seating, facilities and visitor information
- Equipment and improvements that help more people experience the landscape
Projects should consider the needs of different users and remove barriers to accessing the outdoors wherever possible.
