- The Putting Down Routes team and project partners Wild With Wheels are delighted to offer a scenic walk in Kent.We will meet at Trosley Park Visitor Centre by the carpark. Then, we will take a tour along the beautiful woodland paths, where we can admire glimpses of stunning country views over rich chalk grassland meadows, along with spotting woodland plants and wildlife along the way.Part of the park is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), mainly due to the chalk grassland slopes which also looks down across Pilgrims Way and North Downs. The route is circular, for 1-2 miles, depending on the pace of the group, so allow a little extra time just in case we take a little longer.
Our North Downs Way Ambassador leader will also share some history of Pilgrims Way and the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The walk is led by North Downs Way Ambassadors from Wild with Wheels.
