The Body As Data: Maps In Motion

Thanet, Folkestone, & Dover

The Body As Data Project has returned for 2025. Building on 2024’s Body as Data, this next phase, Maps In Motion, invites you to get involved through workshops, a public mapping event, and a living digital archive.

Get Involved

Led by the Body as Data collective, the sessions centre on creative agency and cultural expression – and will feed into the Body as Data project’s larger performance mapping event and digital archive that remaps erased histories and reclaims space across the Kent coast.

Dover Workshops

Thursday 19th, 26th June, 3rd, & 10th July

11:00 to 13:00

Maison Dieu, Biggin Street, Dover, Kent, CT16 1DL

Booking is essential. Spaces are free to people with lived experience of displacement. For others please consider making a donation. Book your space here.

Mapping Event

Join us just outside the gates of Napier Barracks for a live mapping event where performance becomes a living archive. Featuring work developed in community workshops, this public gathering re-situates stories that systems try to erase – offering acts of remembrance, resistance, and belonging on the land itself. Join us in re-mapping the coast, let your presence be part of the new terrain.

Sunday 20th July

14:00 to 16:00

The lawn opposite Napier Barracks – Napier Barracks, Shorncliffe Camp, Folkestone, CT20 3EZ

Booking is essential. Tickets are free to people with lived experience of displacement. For others please consider making a donation. Book your ticket here.

The Body as Data Project is a collaborative performance project led by Sidonie Carey-Green and Tom Tegento, funded by the Arts Council England and supported by Napier Barracks, Glenwood House, ARK, KRAN, Mansion Dieu, and The Samphire Project.
