Folkestone Triennial 2025 – How Lies the Land?

Folkestone Triennial is one of the UK’s leading contemporary art exhibitions in public space. For its sixth edition, titled How Lies the Land?, 18 international artists will create new site-specific artworks exploring land, memory, and future possibilities.
Installations will be located across Folkestone, including old railway lines, coastal paths, empty buildings, and public spaces. The works span sculpture, sound, digital media, and community collaboration.
Curated by Sorcha Carey, this edition invites reflection on themes such as migration, climate change, species interdependency, and local histories embedded in the landscape.
