Start your day in the best way possible – immersed in nature!
The UK is home to over 2500 species of moth, with over 2100 of these recorded in Kent. Join County Moth Recorder Dave Shenton of Kent Wildlife Trust to experience the amazing diversity of these fabulous insects. Having used light traps to attract moths the night before, we’ll explore the hopefully many and varied species that call the North Kent Woods and Downs National Nature Reserve home.
Discover the secrets of these fascinating creatures by getting up close and personal with them in the early morning. And of course, we can’t guarantee any particular species will show up but with fair weather we could see some of the following: Buff-tip, Brimstone Moth, Poplar Hawk Moth, Chocolate-tip, Chinese Character and many more.
Suitable for all ages and fun for all the family.
No booking required – just turn up and enjoy!
