Toys Hill is an area of high woodland covering more than 200 acres on top of the Greensand Ridge cared for by the National Trust
The hill supports a wide variety of plants and animals and is a dedicated Site of Special Scientific Interest.
Discover the diverse and abundant wildlife and fine views over the Weald of Kent that inspired Octavia Hill to found the National Trust. Toys Hill was one of the National Trust’s first acquisitions, parts of the site have been owned by the National Trust since 1898.
Toys Hill is the perfect place to relax, take a peaceful walk and be inspired by the fantastic views. It’s a popular walking site with lots of different long and short walking trails. Walk on the red route towards Pugden and find many herbs and wildflowers including sorrel and field woodrush. Look for the carpet of bluebells in the spring and a dazzling patchwork of golden marsh marigolds and pink ragged robins in early summer. There are a number of waymarked and surfaced trails to explore as well as a wheelchair accessible route.
