Join the Area Warden for a gentle walk around Blue Bell Hill and Burham Down looking for a variety of wild flowers, butterflies and reptiles.

Stunning vistas will be the backdrop to this walk along the downs, as we investigate the unusual and threatened flora and fauna of Kentish chalk downland. We may see the tiny flowers of the squinancy wort, as well as chalkhill blue, adonis blue and brown argus.

This safari is aimed at an adult audience, 14-17 year olds may attend with an accompanying adult over 18.

This safari will last approximately 3 hours and most of the time will be spent walking or standing. Much of the route follows unsurfaced paths, which can be muddy, and there are some steep slopes. Ensure you wear sturdy footwear (during periods of wet weather waterproof footwear is advisable) and clothing suitable for the weather conditions.
