Kent is home to some beautiful and distinctive flora and in this workshop you can explore one of the rarest: the Man Orchid. An amazing flower with pink and green petals resembling tiny human figures!

Create a 3D Man Orchid room decoration using a variety of materials and find out more about how to identify and protect this important botanical species.

Workshops are suitable for children aged 4-12 years. No booking required.

Access statement: Folkestone Museum has disabled access with a wheelchair ramp to the rear of the museum in Market Place. There are no steps into the museum via the front entrance. There is a lift between floors. The Education Room is on the ground floor level adjacent to the wheel access and opposite the lift. There is access to a disabled toilet and baby changing facilities. Folkestone Museum is centrally located so parking is limited. There are Local Authority car parks within a 5 minute walk of the museum.
