Grab your bucket and spade and head down to Sunny Sands, the only sandy beach in miles. In fact, the sand is so good here it is home to the annual Folkestone sandcastle competition. Fuel up with some of the best ice cream and fish and chips in the area and spend the afternoon relaxing with Folkestone’s famous mermaid statue that sits looking over the shore.
Later on take a stroll along the zig zag path of the Lower Leas Coastal parks where you can stop off at the amazing childrens adventure playground complete with pirate ship and rope slide.
