6. Wye

Explore the medieval village of Wye, nestled in the hills of the Kent Downs AONB, and perhaps try the ale at one of the quaint village pubs.

Take a short walk to the Wye Crown; carved into the hillside above the village by students of the once thriving agricultural Wye college, it celebrates the coronation of King Edward VII in 1902.

The North Downs Way Pilgrims Festival 2018 took place in the picturesque village of Wye. The week long celebration included a programme of inspiring walks, talks and events to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the North Downs Way National Trail.

The Devil’s Kneading Trough can also be found in the Wye Downs.
